The number 108 has religious significance in many Hindu and Buddhist traditions, including the number of Upanishads or Scriptures of the Vedas (108), and the 12 zodiac houses multiplied by the 9 planets (108). When we recite or repeat a mantra 108 times, it is said we are actually remembering the entire universe.
