This listing is for a hand-knotted mala and made with love. A mala is a set of Buddhist prayer beads, sometimes called a Japamala. Japa is the meditative repetition of a mantra or divine name, using the beads of the mala to keep count of the repetitions.

This mala has 108 beads, aligning to the traditional number, plus a guru bead. The number 108 has religious significance in many Hindu and Buddhist traditions, including the number of Upanishads or Scriptures of the Vedas (108), and the 12 zodiac houses multiplied by the 9 planets (108). When we recite or repeat a mantra 108 times, it is said we are actually remembering the entire universe.

This mala was made with the following beads: Crackle Quartz, Clear Quartz, Moonstone, Matte Sunstone, Rosewood beads and a silk tassel, and silver lotus charm.

The Harmony mala balances the energies of the sun and moon within you, the masculine and feminine, the mind and emotions, the yin and yang. It aides in the restoration of peace, harmony and joy leading to a nurturing love emanating from your being. It was imbued with the frequency of the heart chakra within a crystal singing bowl.

To use it, you may hold it while meditating, use it for counting recitations of a mantra, set it at the head of your yoga mat while practicing, or simply wear it around your neck or wrist.
